Estrad Plano

A homogeneous sheet vinyl flooring for public premises...

Part of the Estrad product family, the uni-colour Estrad Plano is a homogeneous sheet vinyl flooring for public premises. On wide surfaces it acts as a neutral background for the furnishings, while it can also be used to enliven patterned Estrad and Podium floors with uni-colour borders or various other pattern elements. It is important to remember that uni-coloured floors require more maintenance than patterned floors.

Estrad floors do not require waxing thanks to their TOP Protection PUR (polyurethane) surface treatment.

Upofloor resilient floorings are a supplied to order only product.

Estrad product family - durability and easy maintenance

Estrad floorings have been manufactured in the town of Nokia, Finland, for over 20 years. Over the years, their performance characteristics have been honed to perfection; the latest innovations including a new PUR surface treatment for even easier maintenance, and the new material composition providing top-grade Group T wear resistance.

The Estrad family provides excellent wear resistance and performance in demanding applications such as education and the healthcare and service sectors. The resilient flooring is moisture-proof and pleasant underfoot.

The main products within the Estrad family are available in two patterns: Estradand higher-contrast Podium. In addition, Estrad Plano is a fully uni-colour option. The product range also includes two specialty products: Estrad dB for spaces requiring impact sound resistance, and Estrad ESD for eliminating static electricity.

Installation

RH of the concrete floor must not exceed 85% (2% CM). Temperature during installation and that of subfloor and material should be at least +18 ºC. Before installing the flooring, it must be ensured that the final levelling compounds have dried sufficiently.

The floor must be rolled to achieve maximum adhesion. The weight of the roll should be 50 - 70 kg. Rolling should be carried out before the adhesive dries. This is done to prevent the emergence of adhesive application lines and indentation on the finished floor surface. Avoid traffic on the floor and do not move furniture until adhesive has totally dried.

To provide a watertight joint the seams of the flooring should be heat welded using a PVC rod. Also corners and coved skirtings should be welded. Where welding is not possible, sealing should be carried out using a suitable welding paste. Welding paste should also be used for the sealing of through fitted pipes. Hot air gun should be used on the reverse side of the flooring when laying flooring sections that are laid against the wall, in order to avoid differences in gloss and damages of the floor surface. Adhesive manufacturers provide full information and recommendations on the use of their products.

MAINTENANCE

Initial cleaning
Remove any loose dirt with a mop or a vacuum cleaner. Wash carefully with a mild alkaline or alkaline detergent using a combination machine with red pads or a floor cleaning machine and a wet vacuum cleaner. Rinse carefully. Treat the cleaned floor with an SHS machine using dry puffing or with a maintenance care agent.

Polishing
Polishing is not necessary as the flooring has been PUR (polyurethane) treated in the factory.

Daily maintenance
Alternate dry/damp cleaning with wet cleaning methods. Regular treatment with a combination machine keeps the floor clean, and heavy basic cleaning can be avoided. Use a mild alkaline cleaning and maintenance care agent. You can also clean the floor with an SHS machine using a maintenance care agent. When necessary, cleaning with a stronger maintenance agent is recommended.

Basic cleaning
Clean the floor with an alkaline or mild alkaline detergent, depending on the type of soiling. Use a floor cleaning machine with red or blue pads. Rinse the floor carefully. Apply a maintenance care agent solution to the cleaned floor and treat the dry surface with an SHS machine. When necessary, localised polishing can be carried out on areas with most traffic.
