Choosing Pattern vs Plank

Specify parquetry (Herringbone or Chevron) when the floor is the architectural statement — heritage references, smaller residential rooms that benefit from directional rhythm, or where pattern adds character a single board can't.

Specify wide plank when proportion is the design move — open-plan spaces, minimalist interiors, or rooms where the timber should read as a quiet continuous surface.

Herringbone vs Chevron: Herringbone reads classical and forgiving; works in both period and modern interiors. Chevron is sharper, more European, more contemporary — its continuous V lengthens and orients a space. Chevron at 90mm (21mm format) tightens the pattern frequency for refined residential; 120mm reads more relaxed.

Choosing 15mm vs 21mm

15mm (4mm wear layer): Cost-effective, dimensionally stable, suited to most residential and light commercial use. Limited to 1–2 light sandings across lifecycle.

21mm (6mm wear layer): Specify when the building lifecycle warrants refurbishment depth — boutique hospitality, premium residential, heritage restoration, anywhere the floor must perform across decades. Three to four refurbishment cycles possible.

Colour Palette Notes

  • Cleanest, most contemporary: Pure Natural, Sauvignon, Riesling, Chateau Grey, Bleached Driftwood
  • Warmer, traditional: Cognac, Latte, Cannes, Champagne, Tokay, Chardonnay
  • Greys (cool, architectural): Ash Grey, Storm, Mink Grey, Dover Grey, Heritage Grey, Grey Mist, Glacier
  • Dark, dramatic: Dark Brown, BlackFox, Merlot, Aged Oak, Vintage, Expresso
  • AB Grade (refined, less character — 21mm Wide Plank only): Champagne, Grigio, Straw, Raw
  • Raw (uncoated): Available across most formats for on-site bespoke finishing

Specifier note: oak is natural — colour ranges update through the year, batches will show variation. Always confirm against current sample at point of specification, and verify delivered batch matches sample on site before installation.

Custom colours and sizes are available on request across the range — minimum quantities apply, lead times extend.
