Vorwerk Crystal Carpet Tiles Auckland New Zealand

  • FORMA SL: This tile variation on FORMA, the well-known Vorwerk carpet for the business-site sector, is available in 15 colours typical to such premises. This classic velours for business ‘objects’ distinguishes itself in addition through extremely high durability, high density and a high degree of comfort.
  • ELARA SL: A newly developed tufted carpet, “Elara” has a longer pile and is available in muted shades of beige and grey. The colour spectrum is enhanced by a selection of nuances in up-to-date aqua, green and red, and topped off by a rich warm curry hue. Depending on the colour chosen, the twisted yarn used lends “Elara” a discreet mottling and a shaggy look. It is available as broadloom from the roll and as a tile.
  • ARENA SL: A proven classic, “Arena” is a finely even loop-pile carpet with a discreet mottling that brings forth iridescent effects on the carpet’s surface. In terms of colouration, an elegant aubergine violet and alternating nuances of aqua complemented by dynamic shades of green round out the ‘tried-and-true’ palettes in grey and beige. The product is available as broadloom from the roll and as tile.
  • FRISEA SL: Carpets full of character, a frieze is tufted from different dyeable yarns. Depending on the combination of dyes used, it ends up with anything from a discreet to a strong mottling that elicits intriguing effects. The palette of greys appears tone in tone, the accenting colours obtain their especially sophisticated look due to multiple colouration. The range presented includes an up-to-date aqua blue, a fresh green, a brilliant orange and aubergine violet. Its frieze nature and the product’s high density impart a particularly costly aura to “Frisea”, whereby extreme durability is guaranteed as well – whether as broadloom from the roll or as tile.

The products in the TEXtiles SL carpet-tile collection from Vorwerk flooring set themselves apart through numerous advantages to the benefit of environmentally aware interior design. They provide for a healthy climate indoors thanks to their innovative textile backing, developed by Vorwerk. As the products contain absolutely no environmentally pollutant bitumen or PVCs, they release no harmful emissions to the air in a room. And when it comes to building ecology, according to a study by GUI, the German Society for the Environment and Interior Analysis, the product line also significantly reduces the amount of fine dust particles indoors. Due to these kinds of outstanding attributes the carpet tiles are equally recommended for people with allergies.

The technology behind TEXtiles SL is a pathbreaking, environmentally conscionable coating process for heavily backed, self-laying (SL) tiles. It has enabled Vorwerk flooring to replace the previously conventional PVC or bitumen coating without sacrificing accustomed features for use. The innovation thereby: a new type of synthetic secondary backing comprised of a strongly needled and calendered polyester liner. The backing is completely recyclable and, despite a savings of up to 30 per cent less weight in comparison to conventional tiles using PVCs and bitumen, exhibits the best attributes for laying and a high degree of dimensional stability.

A heavy-duty polyolefin “coaTEX” layer containing a multiaxial glass fabric is integrated in forming the backing in order to achieve the designated weight for heavily backed tiles.
The surface of TEXtiles SL tiles is manufactured from special yarns (ECONYL® fibres) and consists of up to 70 per cent recycled materials. As a result of this environmentally friendly production method, the heavily backed tiles comply with the strict thresholds issued by the Carpet and Rug Institute in the USA and bear Green Label Plus certification.

The textile backing construction of TEXtiles SL tiles equally contributes towards a healthy indoor working climate: The tiles can be utilised in offices or business zones and significantly increase walking comfort along with the spaces’ acoustic properties via their sound-absorbing effect. Their textile nature makes the tiles pleasantly odour-free, too. Above and beyond such benefits, the heat-retaining attributes exhibited by the modular carpet elements provide for an optimal energy balance-sheet while helping to save on the costs for heating.

Benefits to Health:

• GUI-certified “reduction of fine dust particles in indoor air”
• Odour-free due to textile construction
• Better walking comfort
• Optimal acoustic properties due to sound absorption (impact sound insulation)

Ecological Benefits:

• Resource-conserving production with less burden on the environment through use of recycled materials
• Spatial heat retention leads to reduced heating costs
• Short transport routes, inter alia due to own Vorwerk tile lamination plant (“Made in Germany”)
• Completely recyclable

Technical Features:

• Dimensionally stable
• Removability & re-installation option
• Easy handling due to 30% less weight

TEXtiles SL backing construction:

  • Individualized combination options due to modularity.
  • All articles in a large choice of colours: a total of 110 carpet-tile variations.
  • Awarded Green Label Plus for backing containing no PVCs or bitumen.
  • Monochrome and mottled models along with tiles in patterned designs enable the realisation of both timeless and very modern spatial concepts.
