Flooring installation must be the final trade on site.
Where follow-on work cannot be avoided, protect floors with breathable cardboard or builder’s floor protection(never plastic film).
Do not drag furniture; lift and place only.
Fit felt pads to all furniture and chair feet.
Use quality entrance mats at all external doors to control grit and moisture.
Avoid mats with rubber or latex backings.
Chairs with castors must use soft castors (DIN 68131 Type W1) or be placed on a protective chair mat.
Avoid prolonged standing water or spills; wipe immediately.
Use protective mats in kitchen work zones (sink, dishwasher, fridge).
Maintain 35–65% RH at approx. 20 °C.
During winter heating, use a humidifier to prevent excessive drying and tile shrinkage.
Floor surface temperature should not exceed 20–22 °C, particularly under rugs.
Cork will naturally change colour with UV exposure.
Rotate rugs and furniture periodically to allow even colour development.
Use blinds, curtains, or UV protection where necessary.
Installation must be the final construction activity prior to handover.
During fit-out, floors must be protected with heavy-duty breathable protection boards, taped at joints only (no adhesive contact with floor).
Furniture and equipment must be lifted, not dragged.
All furniture feet must be fitted with commercial-grade felt or polymer glides.
Castor chairs must comply with DIN 68131 Type W1 or be used with commercial chair mats.
High-traffic zones (reception desks, bar fronts, service counters) should be protected with designed walk-off or wear mats compatible with cork.

Wet cleaning must be damp mop only; never flood the floor.
Never use abrasive pads, wire brushes, or solvent-based cleaners.
HVAC systems should maintain stable RH (35–65%) year-round.
